Limits on top of limits of trout and bass were caught all week. Another 40001b rainbow trout plant took place on the 1st and contained many 6+ pounders. Young angler Daniel Hittner of Los Alamos was able to bring in the biggest trout since the derby weighing in at 8.5Ibs on a bass lure in between Sweetwater Bay and the dam line. Hot lures this week included rooster tails, kastmasters, mice tails, and super dupers even made a strong comeback along with virtually every scent of powerbait. The bass and catfish hit the best along Jack Rabbit flats in the AM off pumpkin plastics and blackiyellow panther martins. The crappie made a decent showing for fishermen dropping mealworms and jigs on top of the tree stumps from the Flats all the way back towards Santa Cruz Bay.
