BASS

Bass are biting! Anglers are catching many bass off shore in the 15-25 ft range. They are also catching bass drop shotting in the 30-40 ft range. They're bringing in smaller bass between 2-3 pounds. Dropshotting purple and brown colored plastics works best for catching bass. Senko's are also working great!

STRIPER

Anglers are catching stripers between 5-8 pounds! The best time to fish for striper is the week of a trout stock. Trolling Swim baits in the morning work best. When shad and trout are breaking the surface, it's best to use lures that mimic them for top water boils. John Nievar (age 12) and his dad caught twelve striper trolling flies near the east dam!

CATFISH

There were no reports of catfish caught this week. Stink bait and cut bait work best for catfish.

PANFISH

There were no reports of panfish caught this week. Night crawlers and mealworms work best.

TROUT

The trout bite slowed down this week yet, anglers are still catching trout between 4-5 pounds. Powerbait, roostertails and mini jigs work best for trout.
