This week proved to be catfish week at Castaic Lake. Anglers caught Catfish in Taylor Spur and Utopia Cove. They used mackerel and anchovies around 60 ft. in the water column. This was definitely the best week for Catfish so far this year.

On the other hand the Largemouth bite was solid in Coash, Firebreak and Mooring coves. Nightcrawlers and crank baits were the featured bait for the Largies.

Crappie and Bluegill were on the bite at the Lower Lake. Mealworms were the best bait for the panfish.
