BASS
Anglers are digging deep for largemouth. 30-60 feet of water is the common depth range for bass. Fishing points and steep banks all over the lake scraped up a few bass this week. The Carolina rig, the drop shot, spoons, swimbaits, and ice jigs got some great fish. Brush Hogs and reapers worked well for the Carolina rig. Margarita mutilator, oxblood and bold bluegill finesse worms worked for the drop shot.

STRIPER
Stripers are slowly making there way! We have seen a few boils throughout the lake. Using lures in the rainbow trout and brown trout pattern have been extremely productive. Flies are also still producing some nice stripers. Enter into our Striper derby for only $10.00 running from 12/22/12-1/6/13!

CATFISH
There have been some catches of catfish this week. Typical bait for the cats are nightcrawlers, chicken liver and shrimp. Chris Hagopian, pictured above from Redondo beach caught two cats weighing in at 9.85 lbs and 9.80 lbs using mackerel by the I/O tower.

TROUT
DVL had a great week of trout catching! Browns are being caught with nightcrawlers. Rainbows have been coming in from people using powerbait and powerworms. Jonathan Roth and Paul Katic, Photo #1 from Menifee caught a stringer full of rainbows using jigs weighing in at 23.25 lbs! Bryce Roble, Photo #2 caught a 4.19 lb rainbow in the 3rd shoreline cove using a Thomas buoyant lure.

PANFISH
Redear , crappie and blue gills have been missing in action. Most common bait is mealworms, redworms, and nightcrawlers.
