Please come in the Marina store and tell us your fish stories!
BASS
Bass fishing has slowed down a bit. Some are catching limits but mostly small ones. Majority of the fish reported were caught dropshotting purple plastic worms and nightcrawlers.
STRIPER
Stripers are getting hit almost every day due to the overcast in the mornings and the trout stockings bringing them in. Mark McClain, pictured above from Menifee caught a 21.93 lb striper on a swimbait. Using lures in the rainbow trout and brown trout pattern have been extremely productive.
CATFISH
There have been no reports of catfish this week. Typical bait for the cats are nightcrawlers, chicken liver and shrimp.
TROUT
Trout are picking up slowly. We have been stocking every Tuesday with 1000 lbs and DFG has been putting in rainbow and brown trout. Best bait is powerbait or powerworms for stocked trout.
PANFISH
Redear , crappie and blue gills have been doing well. Robert Jenkins, Photo #1 from Riverside caught a 1.07 lb blue gill on a nightcrawler by the trees.
