Bass anglers are hitting the best at Lake Perris

Topwater lures are the talk around the lake from bass anglers fishing near the Launch Ramp and the East End of the lake. Bluegill and Redear are still coming in in large numbers around the Island on crickets and red worms. Some Catfish are being caught around the Island and along the Bernasconi shoreline on nightcrawlers.

The best time to fish at Lake Perris is in the morning right now, all species appear to be active.
Lake PerrisAction has been hot for all species in the mornings at the east end of the lake. Bass are hitting on either top water or plastics that are green or purple. Redear have been biting on trout worms or crickets near the Island. Bluegill are coming in in large numbers on crickets and mealworms along the Bernasconi shore and east of the Island....... Bass are hitting on some top water lures and plastic worms off the shorelines of the lake. Along the weed line is also a good place to fish and it is bringing some sizable fish for some anglers. Bluegill are still being caught from a boat in and around 15' to 20' of water near Bernascoli shore. Redear are after trout worms on the east end of the lake....... Read More
