Hi Anglers,
It is that time of year again and the exotics are biting!! We have had a few bouts with the wind lately but are looking forward to a great rest of the season. We have been catching White Seabass, Halibut, Rockfish, Lingcod, Whitefish, Sheephead and even some Barracude and Calico Bass. On our last Ultra Limited Load 2 Day trip, it was a "Trip of a Lifetime" with the fish count totalling 6 Ocean Whitefish, 35 White Seabass, 12 California Sheephead, 146 California Barracuda, 124 Rockfish, 43 California Halibut and 108 Kelp Bass. With conditions improving daily, we are excited to see what is in store for the Mirage!
We have "Open Party" trips scheduled for the following days:
July 7th
July 12th
July 26th
August 1st
August 6th
August 9th
August 10th
For a complete schedule, you can go to our website and click on the schedule page and click through each month to find a date that works for you. We do have space on a few of our Ultra Limited Load 2 Day Trips.
Any Open Charters that become available will ALWAYS be posted on our website on the schedule page. Keep an eye on that, as the schedule changes daily and sometimes at the last minute. Please also note that WE book our Open Charters. The landing does NOT handle these trips, and they will not be aware of them either. Please call us at 805-983-0975 for any Open Charter.
We are still booking Charters for this season, so get you calendar ready and give us a call to get the best available date for your group and have your trip customized to fit your needs! Our office number is 805-983-0975.
Fishing with us, is like fishing with family!!
We are also very proud to announce that the IGFA has approved Frank Rivera's from Camarillo, CA 67.5 pound California Halibut caught on July 1, 2011 aboard the Mirage as the new record. Pick up the latest Edition of International Angler to check it out!
