Upper lake WATER TEMP: 74 Degrees
Lower Lagoon WATER TEMP: 75 Degrees
Stripers are on the rise. The boils have been small with 2 to 5 pound stripers and they seem to bite in the early morning and in the last two hours of the day. Sharron's rest, Kong Island, Utopia, and they Buoy Line have been great spots to catch the boiling stripers.
You can spot the largemouth jumping pretty much all day near the shrubs on the shoreline, and they have been going after plastic worms and some top water soft baits. Hawks nest has been a pretty active cove for the largemouth as well as Elizabeth Cyn and SS Ski cove.
Catfish have been biting at the Buoy Line on mackerel around 110 feet deep. Catfish have also been doing great in Elizabeth Cyn on nightcrawlers. The night bite down at the Lagoon has been a little slow this past week. But the early morning bite for the largemouth has been fantastic. They are going after Flukes and Plastics and some anglers are still catching them on swimbaits. The crappie bite in the evening has been great on wax worms and little yellow and black crappie jigs.
