Everyday keeps getting better and better. The largemouth are in full swing and biting everything from garlic night crawlers to flukes on the surface. Drop shoting plastics, wacky rigging some senkos or just dropping to the bottom with a night crawler are all great way to fish for the largies in Hawks Nest, Necktie Cyn, and around Sharrons Rest. While fishing with a night crawler you might also run by a Striper or two and maybe even a catfish.

The stripers are hanging out in around 40 to 60 feet of water around C-point and Sharrons Rest, and also around 80 to 100 feet near the Buoy Line. Sardines are the best bait to use for the stripers in those areas. Around the marina, there are still lots of largemouth and a few stripers hanging around waiting for some night crawlers. At the lagoon the fishing has been hit or miss. The largies will bite very good one day and then the bite will shut down for a day or so, but when it's on its wide open. The same techniques used at the upper lake will also help you catch a largie at the lower lagoon.
