Upper lake WATER TEMP: 68 Degrees
Lower Lagoon WATER TEMP: 68 Degrees
Last Plant: The Department of Fish and Game last stocked the Main ramp of the Upper Lake on April 26th
The past week has been another excellent week of fishing on both the upper lake and lower lake. Stripers are staying numerous around the marina, back by the buoy line, and dry gulch. The go-to baits have been anchovies, blood worms and shad. The largemouth bite continues to improve. Eucalyptus point produced numerous 4-6 pound catches throughout the week and hawks nest is still producing a lot of decent sized largies as well. Drop shoting Robo Worms and nightcrawlers continues to remain the best technique for the largies at both the upper and lower lakes. At the lower lake, campsite A has been the most consistent spot for largies.
Catfish have been biting on mackerel around campsite C. Trout have still been hanging around in Hawks nest, Anglers were pulling up trout from 45 to 50 feet off power bait and night crawlers. Anglers going for those trout have been lucky enough to pull up a few small mouth from there as well.
