BASS
Bass are on the surface to 25 feet of water. The storm slowed things down this week but we still had some reports of quality size fish from anglers. Jigs and senkos are working. Dropshotting colored plastic worms such as, morning dawn and margarita mutilator, have also been effective. Brandon Doran of Anaheim caught and released a 7.18 pound largemouth caught on the NW shore with a plastic worm.

STRIPER
Striper fishing has been fair to good. Some anglers reported limits of 3-5 lb stripers using cut bait. The Daniels Family of Palm Desert went out with Mark Franco and came in with 33 stripers all ranging from 4-6 lbs! Stripers were caught on sardines. Jessica of Hemet caught 5 stripers ranging from 4-6 lbs on cut bait.

TROUT
Powerbait, power worms, mini jigs, and nightcrawlers work well for trout. Adrian Contreras of Riverside caught an 8.5 pound rainbow trout on a yellow/white peewee jig while he was shore fishing on the west side.

CATFISH
Few catfish have been reported by anglers. Nightcrawlers and shrimp work well for catfish.

PANFISH
Consistent, warm weather will bring panfish up. Nightcrawlers work well for bluegill, crappie, and redear.
