Bass, trout, Redear and Bluegill are all active at Lake Perris

Bass are hitting on shad and some top water lures at Lake Perris. Trout are still active near the marina and parking lots 11 & 12. The top bait is garlic powerbait and nightcrawlers. Redear and Bluegill are hitting around the Island in about 5' to 15' of water on red worms and trout worms.

4-2-2012The Marina Dock area has been great for Bass fishing this past week. The shad are starting to move in along the north shoreline of the lake. Trout are still hitting at the east end of the lake on worms and garlic PowerBait. Redear are being caught in 5' of water around the Island fishing with trout worms and red worms. The trout bite this week at the east end of the lake has been very good. They are biting from the shoreline to almost 30' out using garlic PowerBait or garlic worms. The bass have been very active at the east end as well. Swimbait and plastics have been the best bait for bass.
