Trout are providing most of the action this past week, with reports from shore anglers soaking PowerBait or floating 'crawlers in the Mohawk area and Harveys Bay. Trollers had a tougher time of it, but 6 colors of leadcore with dodger/needlefish combos fished in Cachuma Bay was the ticket to near limits of both hold-over and recently planted rainbows.
Bass fishing has been fair, but persistent anglers found limits anywhere from 3' to 15' in the water column. Texas rigs, jigs, small swimbaits and blades all caught largies, and spooning worked for some smallies as well.
There was a lack of anglers due to the recent storm which made panfish and carp reports unavailable. There was a handful of catfish caught in a variety of locations; mackerel was the bait of choice.
