Fishing at Lake Skinner has been great this week. Bluegill, Striper and Catfish are all being caught by happy anglers. The bait of choice can be nightcrawlers, chicken liver or anchovies. Some of the hot spots have been near the dam and the inlet fishing from a boat. Shore fishing has been good in the launch ramp 2 area. They will begin stocking trout at Lake Skinner on November 4th.

It was a great week of fishing at Skinner Lake. Plenty of fish were caught and there were a lot of happy anglers who went home with limits this week. Stripers were biting on chicken liver, over at the Buoys by the dam in the early morning hours. Lake Skinner had the bluegill record broken this week. The happy angler caught a 3 lb. beauty over by the buoy at the dam, using chicken liver. Also Striper and Carp are boiling during the early morning hours over in the dam/inlet area. Over the week-end a couple of anglers caught limits of Stripers, using chicken livers.
