Angler catches a 3 lb. Bluegill this week at Lake Skinner

Lake Skinner had the bluegill record broken this week. The happy angler caught a 3 lb. beauty over by the buoy at the dam, using chicken liver. Also Striper and Carp are boiling during the early morning hours over in the dam/inlet area. Over the week-end a couple of anglers caught limits of Stripers, using chicken livers. Finally, Lake Skinner will start stocking trout on November 4th.

Lake Skinner has been a mixed bag because of the weather. We have some happy anglers catching catfish in the early morning over at the East End and Launch Ramp 2. We are wrapping up another good fishing week here at Skinner with plenty of Catfish being caught using chicken livers and nightcrawlers. Bluegill are being caught at the East End of the lake. They seem to be hitting lately on nightcrawlers. One of our younger fishermen caught a Bluegill using chicken liver.
