Even with the warmer temperatures, early morning bites at Lake Skinner have been really good. Bluegill are doing well on live crickets that we are currently selling at the marina. The hot spots for Bluegill are the left side of the dam.

Stripers are good in the inlet using jerk bait and chicken liver. Some catfish have been found in Catfish Alley, also know as Ramp area 2 using chicken livers and sink bait.

Also a reminder, Sept. 3, 2011 will be a free fishing day. No license is required that day. However you will still need the permit.

We have had some good hits on Bluegill in the Inlet/Dam area, using nightcrawlers and mealworms. Striper have been active in the Northern East area, and hitting on chicken livers and swim bait. We also had stocking of catfish last Friday. So Good Luck to all you fishermen....... Read More
