We have had some good hits on Bluegill in the Inlet/Dam area, using nightcrawlers and mealworms. Striper have been active in the Northern East area, and hitting on chicken livers and swim bait. We also had stocking of catfish last Friday.

Another good fishing week here at Lake Skinner. Stripers, Bluegill and Largemouth Bass are what are hitting. Stripers are hitting well on chicken liver. Fishing was good this week with quite a few catches of Catfish and Stripers. Catfish are hitting on mackerel and some other baits as well. Stripers were good fishing from a boat, near the dam. They were hitting on chicken liver and anchovies. Some Bass were hitting in the early morning, near the reeds in the coves. Also a reminder, Sept 3, 2011 will be a free fishing day.
