Lots of decent sized largies are being caught on spooks and poppers as well as other baits. The mid-morning bite around 7:30 till 11:00 AM has been phenomenal. Then the bite picks back up in the evening around 4:30 thru dusk.
Most of the coves still have tons of largies cruising around pretty shallow but you can find them chasing shad a little deeper around 25 feet.
The stripers have been coming up here and there but still no hot spots. It's pretty much hit or miss. Most Anglers are using sardines and dropping them between 60 and 100 feet. Some of the anglers fish from shoreline to the right of the marina have caught a few stripers on cut bait and night crawlers.
The panfish bite at the upper and lower lakes is still doing very well. Most of them are pretty small but they are still biting night crawlers and crappie jigs. You can find them in any cove around the shoreline and at the marina near the docks and the dam. And as usual the night fishing at the lower lagoon is still doing very well for the bigger crappie and largies.
