Bluegill and Crappie are on the bite at Lake Perris

The action at Lake Perris remains similar to last week. The Marina Docks continue to produce with some action by Bluegill and Crappie with jigs. The East End of the lake is still the hot spot for Redear, Bluegill and Largemouth Bass.

Bass are hitting on top water bait. You will find Bluegill and Redear in 10 to 15 ft. of water. Some large Bluegill have come in from the dam area.

The action from Lake Perris has been a bit slower for most compared to last weeks report; east end of the lake was still the best and frequent reports coming for largemouth Bass and panfish. Topwater baits are working for Bass and jigs with Crickets work for Bluegills and Redworms, or DMF Troutworms for Redear. The best fishing remains at the east end of the lake. Larger-sized Bluegill and Redear have been reported to be hitting crickets and jigs (for Bluegill) and DMF trout worms and red worms. Largemouth bass have been hitting topwater bait in the east end and some larger ones have been coming for red worms at the dam.
