Overall the fishing was leaning a bit to the poor side of fair. Fishermen who know the lake reported a good striper bite, almost all action being reported is by boat, but not too many reported limits. As far as the average fishermen go, fishing was a tough one this past week.

Stripers were the bulk of this week's action with the dam and inlet retaining the top spot. Anchovies were the best bait.

Trout also provided some action mostly for shore fishermen, and were hitting Powerbait and worms. Ramp #2 was the best spot to get trout.

Bass are still hanging along the shore, but most seem to be waiting for warmer weather to show up. Some bass are being reported but most of those and being caught in 15-20 ft. of water. Drop shot plastics work the best with a bit of light color aspect due to the stained water.

Good luck fishing and happy tails.

Striper action was fair. Boat action was the best with the dam and inlet moving into...... Read More

Blown-up worms floated about a foot and a half from the bottom was the hottest ticket, however Powerbait was a close second. East End and the Ramp #2 Area have been the hot spots for the trout. Striper fishing was...... Read More
