Trout were the best bet this past week. With the temps dropping so low, the trout were cruising the shallows looking for food, and several fishermen found them willing to tak their bait as well. Blown-up worms floated about a foot and a half from the bottom was the hottest ticket, however Powerbait was a close second. East End and the Ramp #2 Area have been the hot spots for the trout. Striper fishing was good as well for those who braved the weather this past week. Anchovies are the best bait. East End and the Ramp #2 Area are the best spots, however mid-lake and the Inlet are starting to produce more fish. The striper average in the 1-2 pound range, however some are being reported up to 4 pounds. Not much bass action this past week as the cold seems to have driven them back down. Good Luck Fishing and Happy Tails.

Rate the action based over the past week:
Bass ==> Poor
Bluegill ==> Poor
Carp ==> Poor
Catfish ==> Poor
Crappie ==> Poor
Striper ==> Good
Trout ==> Excellent
