As always we had an incredible time on the Aloha Spirit last Friday. With light load on this trip, we managed to hook some White Seabass and Barracuda. Owner and operator, Captain Shawn Steward and with expert crew made sure our charter is always memorable and fun. They are simply the best. Our first stop was the oil rig and produced few Rockfish. Then we decided to just hit the coast for some Seabass and Cuda action. We saw lots of birds triggering their locations. The Barracuda were hitting jigs and live sardines. The Seabass were there too and eating live baits. Sorry to say we lost a lot of hook-ups. Our total fish count for 15 anglers: 4 White Seabass, 34 California Barracuda, and 9 Rockfish. Special thanks to Captain Shawn Steward and the entire crew aboard the ALOHA SPIRIT. We have another SFR charter on the ALOHA SPIRIT departing Sunday August 5th at 5 am. Please check our website for more info at https://secure.fishingresos.com/resos/65.php. If you're interested on setting up your own charter, please contact Captain Shawn at (805) 844-5566 or call Papa Hook's Sportfishing at (805) 382-6233.
