The Crappie are still the big buzz with Marina Anglers; although most are disappointed by the inconsistency of their catch, there are still many crappie coming out off of jigs. The crickets are starting to show their worth by rising with bluegill and redear reports. The East End of the lake has been the only reported area hitting Bass with night crawlers and purple worms.

The following are the fish ratings:
Bass: Poor
Bluegill: Good with an average size of 1.5 lbs.
Carp: Poor
Catfish: Poor
Crappie: Good with an average size of 2.5 lbs.
Redear: Good with an average size of 1.5 lb.
Trout: Good with an average size of 1.5 lbs.

As our business and heat pick up for spring, the crappie have finally been much more active;mostly concentrated beneath the Marina Docks. Jigs have been the only reported trick. Not as many Bass have been caught compared to last week, but most anglers are still throwing with nightcrawlers. Anglers are also beginning to catch bluegill once again. The Bass fishing continues to flourish over the past week. Our most promising results have been at Lots 11 & 12 and Bernasconi Beach with nightcrawlers or purple roboworms. There have finally been some crappie caught in the Marina with Jigs (Red, White and Yellow). Although, our redear sizes have not improved much from half of a pound to one pound.
