First off, Happy New Year, may 2010 bring you all of the big fish that you missed in 2009. As far as fishing goes, the new year started off with a bit of a slump this past weekend as the full moon really slowed fishing down. The week leading up to the new moon was keeping to the past week's fishing report almost to a key. Striper were mostly hitting swim baits and rattle traps on the troll with a few coming in on top water but only early in the morning. Bait fishing for the line sides at Ramp #2 had improved, but dropped off sharply with the full moon. Trout were still on the bite as we received another stock this past week. Most of the rainbows were hitting powerbait fished at Ramp #2 with blown up night crawlers coming in a close second. Several catfish were reported during the week hitting in deep water and biting chicken liver and cut mackerel. With the new full moon on its way out, we are looking forward to fishing picking back up in a hurry.

The following are the fish ratings: Bass: Fair
Bluegill: Fair
Catfish: Fair
Striper: Excellent
Trout: Excellent

Trout continues to be the best fish from shore as fishermen reported limits of trout using powerbait, night...... Read More

Ramp # 2 remains the top spot as most of the trout came in off of powerbait and night crawlers. With another stock coming up within the week, trout action should remain strong. The biggest news regarding the trout is that more are coming...... Read More
