Huge rainbows from 8-10+ lbs will be stocked!!

 ? Laguna Niguel Lake will be open 6am-5pm Christmas Day!!

 ? Kayla Wicksin of Dana Point landed a nice 4 fish stringer with the largest weighing in at 7.5 lbs. She was fishing at the point on shore using chartreuse power bait.

 ? It looks like Kayla cam back later in the week with her little boy James Wicksin and landed another really nice stringer, a 5 lber and two 4.5 lbs rainbows!! Good job! They were using rainbow and green power bait.

 ? Brad Davis of Long Beach landed his largest rainbow ever weighing in at 7.5 lbs and his second at 4 lb - You may recognize him from the Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch, Brad was the Greenhorn aboard the Northwestern skippered by Sig Hansen.

 ? Enele Jr. Scanlan from Tustin was fishing with his dad next to the dock when he landed a nice 7.5 lbs. They were fishing with a yellow jig.

 ? Jennifer Shriver from Mission Viejo caught a nice 4 lb. rainbow fishing from a boat at three pipes using spring green power bait.

 ? Ezra Loza, 10 yrs and Henry Cano, 14 yrs from Norwalk caught a nice 4.5 lbs rainbow by the creek inlet using orange power worms.

 ? Spencer Dell and Brian Murray from Laguna Niguel landed a nice 4 lb rainbow using yellow corn flavored power bait while fishing on shore by the launch ramp.
Fishing this past week was excellent with a good morning and afternoon bite. The best places to fish from the shore have been by the point, the launch and the mouth of the creek inlet. Fishing from the boats has been really productive by three pipes, the bubble hole in front of the dock, the flats and down by the dam. The best baits to uses have been garlic, chartreuse, rainbow, purple nymph and salmon flavored power bait. Anglers have also been using the night crawlers inflated and dipped in garlic oil. For those who like artificial baits the flat orange and bubble gum pink power worms have been good. Short leaders from 6-8 inches are recommended. Laguna Niguel Lake will be having a Christmas special for all our loyal anglers. We will be offering $10 off all day boat rentals!

For the fly fishermen the flats have been the best along with the shallow waters by three pipes. Black and silver midge and the olive midge were the best.
