BASS ?
Anglers are digging deep for largemouth. 35-50 feet is the common depth range for bass. Fishing points and steep banks all over the lake scraped up a few bass this week. The Carolina rig, the drop shot, jigging spoons, swimbaits, and ice jigs got some great fish. Brush Hogs, big worms over 8", and reapers worked well for the Carolina rig. Margarita mutilator, morning dawn and bold bluegill finesse worms worked for the drop shot. Rapala jigging raps work great for deep water bassin'. Kastmasters in the  ? oz, Hopkins spoons, and Little Georges also worked great for deep water bass. Swimbaits got some topwater bass after the trout plant this week. The primary big baits being Huddlestons, LA Sliders and Z plugs.

TROUT  ?
DVL had a great week of stout trout. Shore anglers and boaters caught limits and lunkers on Powerbait, nightcrawlers, mini jigs, and trout worms. The east dam is the hot spot for rainbows. Chris Dodder of Yucaipa caught a 7.2 pound trout fishing with a mini jig along the east dam. Greg Borunda of Independence caught a 5.27 pound trout fishing the east shore with corn yellow Powerbait. Mike Nguyen of Rancho Cucamonga caught an 8 pound trout fishing near the east dam with a Super Duper.

STRIPER
There was a stampede of striper slayers bombarding the east side for some of those huge DVL Linesides. With low light conditions and a recent trout plant it was a perfect week for striper anglers. LA sliders, Lunker Punkers, and Zplugs were the best baits of the week. Jesse Mena of Hemet caught two stripers at 16.71 and 11.59 pounds fishing with a Lunker Punker near the east dam. Dylan Hetrick of Mojave Valley caught an 11.88 pound striper fishing from shore with an LA Slider. Seth Cittel of Winchester caught a 15.5 pound striper fishing near the east dam with a Lunker Punker. Matt Thompson of Hemet caught seven stripers totaling 105 pounds fishing the main lake point with a Zplug.
CATFISH
There were no catfish reports this week. The most common spots are the wave attenuator and near the east dam. Mackerel and anchovies are the best baits for cats.

PANFISH ?
The panfish bite is on the decline and will continue to drop in conjunction with surface temps. Jigs, nightcrawlers, and, mealworms are typical baits for panfish with the dams being the best spots. ?
