Anglers reported fair fishing in the aqueduct with cut baits working the best for striped bass. At this time of year anglers report moving from control gate to control gate until they locate biting fish. Lure anglers did their best on the bottom. Flukes on a jighead and brown tube baits fooled schoolie sized striped bass after check gates. Catfish anglers did well after the sun went down while soaking chicken liver and nightcrawlers. Largemouth anglers used a nearly dead stick approach in the eddies to fool bass with drop shot and Texas rigged 4” plastics.
