Pyramid Lake rose to 88 percent of capacity, and fishing was decent last week. Large and smallmouth slowed down a bit after recent storms, but the bite should pick back up as the water warms and clears. Deep diving crankbaits have been a good way to land some solid bass. Finesse baits worked along bluff walls and over other rocky structure. Striped bass took a break, but the bait crowd still reported landing a few while soaking cut baits near the marina. Trout anglers reported a slower bite with garlic scented Powerbait, Mousetails, and Kastmasters fooling some fish. Catfish went after fresh shrimp, chicken liver, and cut baits in deeper coves. A catfish over ten pounds was reported from Yellowbar.
