The bass were becoming more active with the warmer water and moving into the shallows, and suddenly the carp started spawning scattering them. Once the carp are done in the shallows, you should see bass move back in and settle. Bass have been coming on Senkos, jigs, topwater and shad imitation reaction baits. Bluegill have been going for wax worms, meal worms and red worms. The Crappie bite has been very good with crappie jigs in green, white, and yellow. Anglers throwing these jigs around the tullies have been scoring both crappie and bluegill.
