Isabella fell to 53 percent of capacity this week and the bass bite has been excellent. Our contacts reported scoring 50 fish days with a few better models in the mix. The reaction bite continues for another week with the best numbers of fish showing. Bass were taken on crankbaits, big worms, jigs, and spinnerbaits in the trees. There were also few reports of Bass coming on top water in the early morning. The crappie bite improved this week with reports of nice stringers of fish coming out. Fish have been taken on live minnows or minijigs from structure in the South Fork area and French Gulch. The catfish bite remains very good in many areas around the lake and can be taken with SSS Dip Bait, nightcrawlers and mackerel. The North Fork is pumping out trout near the cemetery. Our contacts reported steady action with garlic Powerbait, Kastmasters, spoons and Get Bent Baits. Trolling with leadcore near the dam has been successful too. Anglers scored trout with flicker shad, Tasmanian Devils and Needlefish.
