This week Isabella Lake rose to 87 percent of capacity, or 498,000 acre-feet. Crappie fishing remains decent around structure with live minnows. There was also a solid bite with minijigs in shad and baby bass colors topped with nibbles. Bass fishing remains slow here, but should improve soon. On Thursday one of our contacts reported scoring Bass in the South Fork area on spinner baits. Anglers continue to score trout in the North Fork and areas around the Dam. Boaters trolling with leadcore have been very successful with spoons, Flicker shad and Rapalas. In the North Fork trout have been coming on garlic scented baits, spinners, and trout jigs. Before the storm it was wide open and trout were hitting almost anything trout bait you threw at them. The. Catfish bite slowed a bit earlier this week, but it should have rebounded by now. Triple S Dip Bait, frozen shad, and mackerel have been scoring quality whiskerfish.
