The lake remained at 85 percent of capacity, and additional mud and debris filled the lake after recent storms. However, Pyramid remains one of the best local lakes in terms of water clarity and boating conditions. Bass fishing has been fair for anglers using darker colored finesse baits. Successful anglers reported using their electronics to locate small schools of fish before working finesse baits and vertical jigs and spoons. Striped bass fell for trolled umbrella rigs, large deep diving jerkbaits, and cut baits. Catfish picked up dip bait and garlic scented night crawlers off the bottom. There have been reports of rainbow trout taking Powerbait and Mousetails.
