Pyramid held near max capacity, and water temperatures moved up into the upper seventies. The bass bite has been reliable with anglers finding biters early on topwater and crankbaits near weed lines and bluff walls. Large and smallmouth also fell for weightless Senkos, Ned rigs, and Texas rigged plastic worms on main lake points, bluffs, and weed lines. Striper anglers reported some boiling fish as soon as the lake opens. That bite has been dying off before 8am. After that, striper anglers soaked cut sardines and bloodworms in 30 to 75 feet of water. Crappie were reported near Serrano on minijigs, and catfish ate dip bait, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers.
