Smaller sized stripers have been coming to the surface first thing in the morning and have started to go after top waters and jerkbaits. Anglers have had some luck lately trolling the lake with a heavy kastmasters and deeper diving jerk baits or lead heads with paddle tail baits in deeper waters and steerper walls and points.

Bass are becoming more active with the warmer conditions and eating on the fry around the lake, biting on top water baits in the morning hours and flukes throughout the day. Jerkbaits and Kastmasters have also worked well throughout the day along rocky banks and the grasslines in shady areas or even jigging along a steep drop off to get one to react.

Trout are still being caught out deep towards Posey, Bear Trap Spanish Point and even  a few from the marina on spoons, nightcrawlers and powerbaits.

Water Temperature: 62 degrees
