Over the past week, anglers have been trolling the lake and jigging with spoons on the steeper walls during the colder weather conditions to catch stripers throughout the day. Bait has also been working well from the shorelines and points past the swim beach such as anchovies, lugworms and chicken liver with heavier waits rigged up Carlina style to mange the high winds.

Some people have had luck using jerk baits and crank baits along the shorelines with the rough weather to catch largemouth and smallmouth bass. Other baits that have been working well during these times have been senkos, roboworms, jigs, and craw style soft plastics to work down deep with finesse. Catfish are still biting great in the coves and off the swim beach or rip rap by the front booth on various cut baits as well.
