Current conditions for fishing have been a bit tougher over the past week but most anglers who have been coming back with stripers have been using lugworms, chicken liver, and anchovies throughout the day around 30-50 feet deep. People have been using either Carolina style or drop shot style with a one weight or so to keep out from drifting around in the wind and current.
The front booth along the canal has been a hot spot over the weekend with a decent amount of striper and catfish pulled up using cut baits and worms throughout the day. Bass have been biting soft plastics deeper along the grass lines like senkos, flukes and craw imitation baits either weightless, Texas rigged or drop shot style depending on conditions throughout the day. Catfish have also been biting very consistently on cut baits down deep throughout the coves.
