Anglers from the shoreline have still been catching stripers and catfish along the canal by the entrance booth, the rip rap in front of the bait shop and off of the points along the swimbeach. Chicken liver and mackerel have been working well for catfish and sardines or lugworms rigged up carolina or drop shot style for stripers throughout the day. Bass have been biting a bit deeper around the lake lately off various soft plastic setups with senkos, roboworms, flukes and craw style baits. Some anglers have had sub-surface action in coves during the first couple hours of the mornings but most bites have been from finesse style fishing.

Current hours are still from 7am-5pm.
