From the shoreline over the past week, people have been having luck using anchovies along the canal by the fish cleaning station and front booth to catch stripers while water is flowing into the lake. Although the trout bite has slowed down a bit from shore, some have still been pulled up from the channel, the rip rap and coves throughout the lake mainly off worms, powerbaits, and mice tails.
Bass are starting to bite a bit more around the lake but most bites have still been off of various soft plastics such as senkos roboworms and jigs. Deeper diving baits have caught some bass as well such as jerkbaits and crankbaits. Many anglers are still catching catfish down deep within the coves and also off of the points past the swim beach using sardines or anchovies.
