Anglers who endured the snowy weather over the past week have been rewarded with stripers, bass and trout on various baits both from the shoreline and boats throughout the lake. We received a trout plant on Tuesday, November 26 and have been biting on little spinner baits, powerbait and nightcralwers along the shoreline in the marina. People have also been catching stripers off the rip rap in front of the boat shop and along the canal by the entrance booth on different types of swim baits and cut baits like sardines or anchovies bait and wait style. Trolling throughout the lake has also been effective for stripers using Kastmasters, deep diving jerk baits, deadheads and A-rigs around Chumash Island, Serrano Cove and up into Yellowbat Canyon. Bass have been bitting spinner baits and crank baits along with various soft plastics setups and worms.
