Striper: High Action: Striper boils early morning hours over by the dam and East End. Use any topwater walking baits during boils or jerkbaits once they’ve sunk out.
Blue Gill: Slow Action: This week there has been reports of blue gill over at the marina end using meal worms and wax worms.
Catfish: High Action: This week there has been plenty of cats being caught over at ramp 2 and the coves around catfish alley. Biting on chicken livers, mackerels and night crawlers.
Large Mouth: Medium Action: The largemouth bass seem to be schooled up around the lake. Some quality bass mixed in with the striper boils. For the afternoon bite try drop shotting plastic worms or wacky rigged senkos.
Trout: No action/no trout plants.
Carp: Huge and plenty… come and get them, teach the kids a new challenge. Stop by the camp store or marina and share your fishing stories with us and get a picture taken so we can post it on FB.
Catch and release is a great thing to practice to insure the species a healthy abundant environment to keep on producing for many more years of fun here.
