Fishing this past week has been decent for most anglers. The striper are boiling still and many of the boils that are seen are out in the middle of the lake. There has also still been a few caught on sardines, anchovies, and lugworms. The largemouth and smallmouth are also going after little bait fish and shad, with topwater baits and flukes working best. They’ve been mainly boiling in the coves and have been a little finicky. Finesse baits and plastics on the dropshot have also been working throughout the day. The trout bite remains active with Power-baits and garlic nightcrawlers working the best. Some anglers have been having luck with catfish lately too. Mainly on cut baits like anchovies and mackerel. The bluegill and crappie are still biting and most anglers have been able to nab quite a few on wax/meal worms, red worms, and nightcrawlers.
