My wife told me that this was her last weekend off until after the holidays were over and wanted to get in just on more fishing trip for the year. So we decided on the STARDUST out of Sea Landing in Santa Barbara. Capt Jason Diamond doing the driving today, with Sal, Casey and Jay on the deck. There were 23 folks show up for the 3/4 day trip to Santa Rosa Island. The weather report looked good, but this time they were wrong, we had winds blowing at 20 knots and some gusts to 30. It made the fishing pretty tough, we did manage a few Bonito on the way out on the troll and a few more on the way back in. We were metering some really nice areas of fish, but for the most part they didn't want to play. All in all, it was a great day on the water and some new friends were made and we all went home with fish in the bag. Our final count was 207 Rockfish, 16 Bonito and 2 Lingcod. It was a pleasure to finally meet Capt Jason, you and your crew were great as usual and I look forward to the next trip. If you would like any of these pictures you can email me at [email protected] and I will forward them to you.
