The weather was not looking good for the trip aboard the STARDUST with rain and 4-5 foot swells. It prevented some folks from going along, so we departed at 5am with only folks 13 aboard. Capt Luke gave us a safety briefing while Dane and Casey loaded some nice looking anchovies and sardines. We had a raffle for some great prizes from SEAGUAR FLOUROCARBON , FISHWORKS , and SFR T-shirts. We headed for Santa Rosa Island and were greeted by a light rain, but the seas were flat calm. The fishing started a little slow, but it didn't take long to find some hungry fish. We had limits of rockfish by 12:30pm and headed into shallow water in search of whitefish. We managed to get a few before it was time to start the trip home. For those who stayed on land because of the weather, you missed an absolutely beautiful day on the water. Thanks to Capt Luke, Casey and Dane for a fun day of fishing.
