Fishing is very good right now. The shad have been showing up and the bass and striper are chasing them. Stripers up to 131bs have been caught recently on shad pattern lures. Trolling has been working good for stripers. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are biting plastics and Iures.Roboworms,senkos,and fly lined flukes are working best in 2 to 20ft.Catfish and bluegill have been slow.

Fishing at Castaic is good.Largemouth and smallmouth bass have been biting good on plastics in 2 to 25ft.Coves and points have been the best spots.Striper fishing is picking up.Guys are catching some 4 to 10Ib stripers on shad pattern lures.Trolling has been working good.Some smaller 3 to six lbrs have been caught on bait(lugworms,nightcrawlers,and sardines).A few trout have been caught around the lake on a variety of baits.Catfish and bluegil have been slow. ...... Largemouth and smallmouthbass are still biting good.Plastic worms fished in 2 to 20 ft is working best. Stripers are starting to pick up.Most stripers are being caught trolling shad pattern lures 20 to 50 ft deep. More stripers have been caught on bait lately. Lugworms and night crawlers are working best.A few trout have been caught this last couple weeks all over the lake on a variety of baits.Catfish and bluegill are slow. ...... Read More
