Fishing is very good right now. The shad have been showing up and the bass and striper are chasing them. Stripers up to 13Ibs have been caught recently on shad pattern lures. Trolling has been working good for stripers. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are biting plastic worms, nightcrawlers and lures. lures. Roboworms, senkos, and flylined flukes are working best in 2 to 20ft. Bluegill have been caught lately on waxworms in shallow brush.Caffish has been slow.

Fishing at Castaic is good.Largemouth and smallmouth bass have been biting good on plastics in 2 to 25ft.Coves and points have been the best spots.Striper fishing is picking up.Guys are catching some 4 to 10Ib stripers on shad pattern lures.Trolling has been working good.Some smaller 3 to six lbrs have been caught on bait(lugworms,nightcrawlers,and sardines).A few trout have been caught around the lake on a variety of baits.Catfish and bluegil have been slow. ......
