Merry Christmas! The New Year is coming up fast! Beautiful weather for Fishing. Mornings are still the best time to hit the lake. Next stocking of Trout will be December 28, 2016.

Striper: Stripes has been hit or miss. They are definitely more active when the Trout plants arrive. They have been seen around the South Shore and across from the Marina. Try using smaller swimbaits, Nightcrawlers. Also some Anglers have been catching these beauties on chicken liver.

Larae Mouth: Large Mouth Bass have been producing around the South Shore near the coves and at the East End of the Lake. The bite has picked up, they can be caught on shad, drop-shots, colored plastics, and Nightcrawlers.

Trout: Last stock of Trout was December 14, 2016, 600 lbs. Best bite this past week has been near Launch Ramp 2 and Trout are also being caught near the East End. PowerBait and Rooster Tails have been working best!

Blue Gill: Blue Gill have slowed down, haven’t heard or seen much action.. Try using red worms, Meal worms or Nightcrawlers.

Catfish: Catfish have been going deep as the weather cools, look for them near the Inlet and Launch Ramp 2. The bite is fading quickly. Garlic shrimp, chicken livers, anchovies and mackerel are working best for Catfish.

Coro: Always plenty of carp in the lake. If that’s your fish come on out and have some fun with the kids!
