Next trout stocking will be Tuesday, March 4 with Utah "Hook ???Jaws".

Fishing so far this week has been fantastic!!! Nothing under 5lb have been reported. Considering we have had 3 stockings in a row in 3 weeks and light crowds due to the weather, there is a ton of huge fish to be caught. Also the last stocking on Feb 19, Dennis stocked some really beautiful big fish, nice reds and rainbow colors and some nice hook-jaw males.

The best fishing spots are at the point, next to the concession building, launch ramp, and the flats. We do recommend a boat; you have more access to the entire lake that way. Best spots from a boat have been by the bubble hole, three pipes area, and the flats & in front of the dock. The best baits to use have been inflated night crawlers with garlic oil, Lip Ripperz lures & jigs, Gulp power bait and salmon eggs.

• Dick Fish from Mission Viejo had the most awesome fish so far this week. He had 8.5 and a 5.5lb. He was on a boat by three pipes & in the flats. He was using inflated night crawlers with garlic oil, & Gulp power bait.
• Nan from Huntington Beach landed a 7.25 lb by the launch ramp using power bait.

Fly Fishermen

The best colors to use have been the chartreuse colored midge, olive and brown. You want to be about 6-12 inches off the bottom. The best areas have been the flats & three pipes.
