Fish Report
February 4, 2008

Next trout stocking will be this Tuesday Night with Utah "Hook Jaws" Trout ??? February 5^th.

The rains can go away now!! We need some beautiful weather! I believe that beautiful weather is in the forecast for this coming week, therefore we will be stocking on Tuesday night, February 5.

This stocking will contain huge trout, up to 10+.

The fishing has been good when it is not raining; when the water gets murky you want to use a lot of scent on everything. Many anglers are still getting their limits. The best baits to use have been inflated night crawlers with garlic oil, Lip Ripperz fighting frog & spoonz, Gulp power bait chunky cheese, and orange, chartreuse and rainbow power bait. The best places to fish have been the launch ramp & the point from shore. Also, from a boat three pipes area, between the aerators and the flats.

Catfish have also been showing up due to the rains, the largest cat reported was 7 lbs caught with a night crawler down by the launch ramp, the creek inlet, and the point.

Bass fishing has also been productive in the deeper water on the back side & around the island using dark colored plastics.

Fly Fishermen

Once again the weather with the rain has made fishing very difficult but anglers are getting a few. The best colors to use have been the chartreuse colored midge (so the fish can see it), olive and brown. You want to be about 6-12 inches off the bottom. The best areas have been the flats & three pipes. With promising weather and a fresh stocking fishing will be fantastic. See you there.
