Next trout stocking will be this Wednesday Afternoon with Alpers Trout ??? February 13^th.

Fishing this past week has been phenomenal!! Anglers are reporting landing several huge fish weighing in at a whopping 7 ??? 10lbs+. These beautiful Utah's have been sporting some amazing "hook jaws" on the large males. The best fishing spots have been from the boats over by three pipes, deeper water in the flats & by the bubble hole. Best fishing spots from shore have been down in the flats by the launch ramp, the point & by the creek inlet. The best baits to use have been inflated night crawlers with garlic oil, chunky cheese Gulp power bait, rainbow & chartreuse power bait, Lip Ripperz lures & salmon eggs.

We are having a bonus stocking of Alpers Trout this Wednesday afternoon, February 13, during normal business hours. The lake will be open during the stocking. Laguna Niguel Lake staff does ask you refrain from fishing in the area to be stocked until Thursday to let the fish acclimate. The public is more than welcome to come watch the stocking.

Fly Fishermen

The best colors to use have been the chartreuse colored midge, olive and brown. You want to be about 6-12 inches off the bottom. The best areas have been the flats & three pipes. With beautiful weather and a bonus stocking, fishing will be fantastic. See you there.
