The level of the lake is down a few feet, but the action has been picking up. The days are still in the high 90’s, so bring plenty of water and sunscreen with. Also a reminder; they have been working on reestablishing a buoy line around the inlet, so make sure you are aware of the fishing boundaries.

Striper: We are finally seeing some great action from the striper. The Inlet has been doing well in the earlier morning, as well as along the buoy line. We have seen quite a few boils happening towards the evening as well. Break out the anchovies and try some top water for the best results.

Large Mouth: They are biting fairly well. There has been decent action in the East end as well as the coves on the South shore. Plastic lizards with red flakes and watermelon robo worms have been doing the best.

Trout: There has been no trout action reported.

Blue Gill: Look to the South shore for these guys. The bite has been very good as of late. They are still loving crickets if you have them. You can also nab a few on smaller jigs and meal worms.

Catfish: The cats have been doing well. The biggest have been reported from the inlet area, but the most action has been reported around the Launch ramp 2 area, in the surrounding coves. Chicken livers have been the way to go, but don’t be afraid to try some mackerel too.

Corp- As always we have plenty of carp in the lake and they come in a variety of sizes. They have been seen in all parts of the lake, especially on the South side. Your best bet for them is to use dough balls with your own scents mixed in. Great way for the kids to learn and have some fun!
